Case Study: Cultural Center Community Engagement
For a new multicultural community center, we facilitated a multi-phase participatory process involving stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, including youth, seniors, immigrants, and cultural groups. Through focus groups, interactive activities, and visioning sessions, we helped define:
The center’s role as a community hub for advocacy, education, and cultural celebration.
Design priorities, such as flexible spaces, safety, accessibility, and the integration of cultural expression.
Programmatic needs, including a shared kitchen, youth spaces, performance areas, and learning zones.
By embedding community voices into the design process, we ensured that the final space is not just a building—but a lasting cultural asset that reflects the people it serves.
